Today we went to Saratoga National Battlefield, the Erie Canal, and an old Erie Canal Lock. At Saratoga, we met a nice but slightly crazy park ranger that was in love with cannons. He couldn't tell us enough. Once, after telling us, in full detail, a particular cannon that he wanted, he then said "slobber, slobber". At least he got his dream job, even though the people that go to the Visitor's Center get slightly creeped out. At the old Erie Canal lock, the whole thing is full of grass and dirt, and has plants growing down the sides of the walls, some of these plants included raspberries and blackberries, so MGH and I had a really great time going berry picking. At the end of the day, we saw a beautiful sunset. CMH

We picked berries just like those in our own back yard.
Glad you are having fun.
